Simba Electronics Ltd.

Simba Electronics is a recent initiative with a view of penetrating the burgeoning ‘white goods’ and electronics market in Uganda. Simba Electronics opened a flagship store in February 2005 in Lugogo Mall, aiming at the high-end of the market. The shop doubles as a Nokia shop as well. Break even has been achieved in the shop. A second store was opened in August 2005 in Kampala Road.

The long term strategy is to expand the electronics business line into the Simba retail outlets with a view of diversifying Simba Telecom’s retail revenue base, providing long term and sustainable revenue protection in the retail sector.

Simba Electronics also houses the Group’s growing Nokia wholesale business. By virtue of Simba’s official distributor rights, Simba is able to wholesale genuine original handset stock to international markets.
